[NEWS] Lee Hyori will take her top off?

Singer Lee Hyori made a shocking commitment relating to the sales of the calendars for abandoned dogs that she modeled for.

As per MBC on December 25th, Lee Hyori had an interview with MBC TV’s ‘Section TV Entertainment Relay’ recently.

In the interview, Lee Hyori wittily joked, “If 20,000 copies of the calendars sell, should I go with the top off like Je Dong oppa?

Lee Hyori also added with a lot of aegyo, “Idol management companies made a lot of money, so instead of idol calendars, please buy the abandoned dogs calendars.

Lee Hyori’s calendars started as an effort for the abandoned dog adoption campaign. All of the proceeds from the calendar will be donated to the Animal Freedom Association which helps facilitate the adoption of the abandoned dogs.

In the interview, Lee Hyori has also looked back at the year 2011 and said, “It was the most important year of my life.” Lee Hyori also officially admitted to her romantic relationship with singer-song-writer Lee Sang Soon.

On the December 24th episode, the show’s MCs Lee Hwi Jae, Kim Byung Man, and No Woo Jin visited an abandoned animal shelter to volunteer and help out for the show’s Christmas special. After meeting up and talking with the generous hearts that run the place, the topic steered towards the difficulties of running a shelter of this size.

As the shelter houses 350 dogs and 60 cats, the owner chose food supply as the most difficult aspect to keep up with, stating, “I need about two tons of animal food to feed all of them per month, but since last month, Lee Hyori-ssi has been donating one ton a month.”

He continued, “She also doing a great job of raising ‘Soonshim’, the abandoned dog she adopted from this shelter.

Singer Lee Hyori teared up at the thought of the abandoned dogs.

On the December 17th episode of KBS ‘Freedom Declaration Saturday – Birth of a Family’, Lee Hyori met with A Pink and gave realistic advises on abandoned dogs.

Lee Hyori attended an animal protection event and said, “While I took a break for a year, I started to take interest in the people in need around us and animals. I started to see things I didn’t see when I was running fast and I thought I should be of help.”

Then Lee Hyori remembered the time she visited an animal shelter in the past and said, “It was winter and there were more rats than dogs at the shelter. [NEWS] Lee Hyori’s outing to variety through ‘Birth of a Family’

Singer Lee Hyori will be visiting the viewers on KBS ‘Freedom Declaration Saturday – Birth of a Family’. Lee Hyori has not appeared on a variety program for some time so this is the first outing in some time.

On December 16th KBS announced that on the December 17th episode of ‘Birth of a Family’, girl group A Pink who are serving as temporary guardians of abandoned dogs will be meeting Lee Hyori who is actively supporting animal protection.

Last time Lee Hyori appeared on a variety program was as the MC of ‘University Gayo Festival’ back in November.

A Pink attended the Animal Freedom Coalition event ‘the Night of Sponsorship for the establishment of a nursery for abandoned animals’ at the end of November and met with Lee Hyori and her dog Soon Shim.

A Pink are taking care of abandoned dogs as temporary guardians on ‘Birth of a Family’ so they took the initiative to seek out advises from Lee Hyori who is a good mommy to her Soon Shim and a sunbae to them in the music industry.

Lee Hyori noticed Dalyi out of the abandoned dogs A Pink are taking care of and was happy as she said, “I’ve met (Dalyi) when I was at a photo shoot for posters for abandoned dogs".

Lee Hyori gave A Pink members warm advises on some of the difficulties in taking care of an abandoned dog and some of the things to watch out for, as well as how to heal the hurt the abandoned dogs feel.

A Pink carefully asked Lee Hyori, the leader of one of the first girl groups Fin. K. L, whether she had seen their performance and Lee Hyori was sweet enough to show a part of the choreography for ‘I Don’t Know’ where they make butterflies with the hands.

Celebrities, including singer Lee Hyori and Ulala Session, winner from Super Star K 3, were recently selected as people who have made the world bright in 2011.

On December 12, the Korea Green Foundation held the ’2011 Awards Ceremony for People Who Enlighten the World’ in Seoul.
