On October 30th, Hyori tweeted, “I’m having an enjoyable weekend. I’m camping with my friends and Soonshim.” In the photo, Hyori is seen with a bare face–and feet for that matter –, giving a bright smile to the camera.

[NEWS] Lee Hyori's Picture Misused for Sony Ad

Lee Hyori's picture has been misused for an advertisement in China.

On a recent post in an Internet forum site, someone took a picture of Sony laptop advertisment in a shopping center in China. In the ad, Lee Hyori is holding a pink Sony laptop. However, anyone could easily recognize that the picture of Lee Hyori is actually from a famous alcohol brand advertisement in Korea. The advertisement has been photoshopped-- the original alcohol bottle has been replaced with a pink laptop. Lee Hyori has never modelled for Sony laptops in China before.

Misusing Korean celebrities pictures for advertisements in China is a fairly frequent happening. However, it is quite shocking that a global brand such as Sony would misuse a picture like this.

Last year, pictures of many other top Korean stars such as Lee Hyori, Han Ye Seul, Kim Jung Eun, Choi Jung Won, Lee Tae Ran and others, appeared on a breast enhancement advertisement and became quite an issue. Recently, Kim Tae Hee and Lee Da Hae appeared on an escort service site in London.

Sources from Lee Hyori's management say, "There are many countries along witih China that break the copyright laws and misuse photos like this. However, there are many phantom companies in China so unfortunately, it's not easy to take legal actions against them."

[NEWS] What exercise helped Hyori lose 3-4 kg in just a month?

Renowned star personal trainers Lee Ji In, Kim Jin, and Shasha Jung made appearances on a KBS2TV program recently to share their secrets behind their clients’ much-envied bodies.

Lee Ji In in particular is noted for working with Lee Hyori, Solbi, and many other famous stars. Since Hyori has one of the best figures in the industry, Lee Ji In revealed that it’s due in part to Hyori’s determination. “She has a good personality and strong-willed physical stamina, so she works out hard. Hyori is just one of many who’ve seen great results from targeted exercises,” she said.

The one she noted in particular utilizes an elevated platform – a simple up-step, down-step is what this personal trainer claims helped Hyori lose 3-4 kilograms (6-9 pounds) in just one month.

“Out of all the celebrities I’ve trained,” said Lee Ji In, “I respect Jo Hye Ryun the most. Before we even met for our sessions, she would show up and jump rope 1,000 – 2,000 times. Lee Hyori once again attracted attention for her naturally perfect physique.

Photos of Hyori at a photo shoot with her beloved Soonshim surfaced on an online community board, and netizens were blown away that the 5’4″ tall singer was blessed with such a glamourous body.

The singer didn’t wear heavy make up nor sexy, revealing clothing, but her sunbathed copper skin tone paired well with the casual clothing. Her long skirt paired with a short top lengthened her legs, adding to her appeal.

Singer Lee Hyori criticized(?) Kim Jae Dong.

Lee Hyori grabbed the attention of the netizens tweeting a strong criticism, “It’s dirty” towards Kim Jae Dong on October 28th.

Kim Jae Dong had tweeted “48.6%” along with a picture of himself revealing parts of his shoulders and chest. In the picture, he has taken off his glasses and is posing quite confidently.

Kim Jae Dong joked in response to Lee Hyori’s criticism, “You mean like a wild animal. That’s what I heard”. Lee Hyori then responded back, “You didn’t say you’re taking your glasses off”, and Kim Jae Dong responded back “I apologize on that”.

48.6% refers to the voting rate for the Seoul city mayor election that took place on October 26th. Kim Jae dong had encouraged voting saying on October 25th, “If the voting rate is above 50%, I will send out a picture with my top off in front of the Samo rock on Samgak mountain in Seoul”.

Both Lee Hyori and Kim Jae dong had tweeted their pictures as proof that they had voted.

Lee Hyori responded to a netizen’s suggestion for her to marry TV personality Kim Jae Dong.

On October 27th someone had written via their Twitter page, “I don’t know why, but I feel like Lee Hyori and Kim Jae Dong would make a nice couple. They look good together! I personally would like to see the two get married.”

Lee Hyori happened to read the tweet and responded rather quickly. She retweeted the tweet above and added, “Let’s not talk nonsense“, which netizens found hilarious.

Kim Jae Dong and Lee Hyori are actually very close friends. The two have frequently gone hiking together and have become close over the years, enjoying a strictly platonic relationship. Her comment, ‘let’s not talk nonsense‘, was probably Hyori trying to offer comic relief, ending any more absurd and awkward marriage suggestions.

Singer Lee Hyori revealed her personal thoughts on voting for the Seoul mayor election, drawing both attention and criticism for her actions as a public figure.

On October 24th, Hyori had re-tweeted Lee Weh Soo‘s tweet which said, “Have you never had any dissatisfaction with our society? If yes, please vote. We should not tolerate any more contradictions and corruption, deception and hypocrisy. Your one vote will be a candle of light that chases the darkness away.” The singer’s public advocacy for the political figure’s quote has drawn criticism from some.

The next day, Lee Hyori commented, “I was only encouraging fellow Seoul residents to vote for the election together, why are people saying that I have courage or throwing hateful comments? Um… Am I prohibited from saying things like that? Random men keep saying scary things at me, boohoo!”

Continuing her post, she wrote, “I only re-tweeted Lee Weh Soo’s post, I did not personally write that. Lee Hyori did a photoshoot for the fashion and style magazine ‘High Cut’, for their October 20th issue. In this pictorial, she abandoned her iconic sexy and confident style for a more mysterious and somewhat girlish look. She looked as though she had aged 10 years backwards.

The photoshoot took place in a beautiful coastal town in Britain called Eastbourne. She wore the brand Zadig-et Voltaire for the entire shoot. To match the natural beauty of the coastal town, Lee Hyori wore only the basic makeup and she opted for a sprinkle of freckles. Her long and natural hair freely danced with the winds of this beautiful windy town and it made every cut that much more breathtaking.

Lee Hyori never tries to look sexy but the sexy just woozes out of her. However in this photoshoot, whatever she did no one knows but all the emotions delivered from the photos were of that of innocence and clarity

On October 15th, singer Lee Hyori held a fan signing for her endorsement brand ‘Clio‘ at the Watsons chain store in Daehyun-dong.

Although it was her first public event in a while, Lee Hyori was all cool confidence as she stepped onto the dais in all black. Her fish-scale top and sexy kill heels gave off a fierce charm, but her warm smile tempered the edge of her outfit.

Interestingly enough, her waterproof pencil gel liner (which was launched earlier last month) has already seen 100,000 units in sales, with most of the colors completely sold out. Seems like ‘Lee Hyori effect’ is still going strong!

[NEWS] Lee Hyo Ri left for Seattle to meet Jane Goodall

Lee Hyori went to Seattle for a photoshoot.

Lee Hyori said on her Twitter, ”Guys, I’m leaving for Seattle. I got the chance to interview Jane Goodall famous for Mother of the Earth and Animals.”

“I’m very thankful for this opportunity to meet the person I admire. It’s two nights and three days schedule but I will learn more.”

The interview will be done with a photo shoot. Lee Hyori left Seoul at 6.15 p.m. and will come back on 14th.

Jane Goodall who established the Jane Goodall Institute in 1977 is a British zoologist and environmentalist. She received the Benjamin Franklin Medal in 2002, Life Time Achievement Award, the International Fund for Animal Welfare in 2004 and more.

Yesterday, Lee Hyori had received a great deal of attention for making a stand against fur coats through her Twitter.

Hyori had written, “Everyone, I’m not sure if it’s because the weather’s getting colder, but the malls are full of fur coats. I wore them as well at one point thinking they looked cool. I figured out that being hugged by love is warmer than wearing an animal, and that it looks cooler as well.”

The tweet became controversial when netizens pointed out that Hyori was photographed wearing a leather jacket to a public event.

On October 7th, Lee Hyori addressed their accusations of hypocrisy with the tweet, “Everyone, I am not perfect. I am an ordinary human being who has to fight with her own will to put something she believes into action. I am a person who tries to achieve her goal one step at a time. Please, instead of just criticizing me, send me advice, knowledge, and help.”

She added, “I still haven’t thrown out the leather jackets I used to love, and my mouth waters when I smell pork belly being roasted at meetings with friends. This is a night where I feel ashamed of myself.”
