Queen Lee Hyori is preparing her 5th solo album right now. A representative of her agency revealed that "she has been working on her new album and preparing the songs that will be included in it”.

According to some rumours, Lee Hyori comeback is settled for july 2012.

Currently, Lee Hyori is the new MC with Jung Jae Hyung for the new nighttime music program called SBS 'You and I'. First show is going to be aired soon.

[NEWS] “The Besties” Lee Hyori and Jung Jae Hyung shoot Harper’s Bazaar pictorials together

Recently, some pictorials of the “best buddies” singer Lee Hyori and Jung Jae Hyung are released, rising as a hot issue.

On February 20, the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar released some jolly pictorials of “trendy character” Lee Hyori and her best friend, Jung Jae Hyung, under the title of “Play with Us.”

Lee and Jung are known as “best buddies” in the world of entertainers, and they are also co-hosting SBS’s Stylish Music Show You & I. Recently-shot pictorials are to give some ideas and overall atmosphere of the show.

[NEWS] Lee Hyori, “Social networks can be a burden, but I like them”

Singer Lee Hyori recently talked about her social network services.

On February 21, Lee attended a press conference for SBS’s You and I and said, “Even though I some times feel social network services can be a burden, I like them because I can directly express my feelings.”

She added, “But since I write my opinions directly, my words can be delivered in an unintentionally wrong way. So I think I should use them more carefully.”

“Even though I haven’t been on TV for a while, I still can communicate with my fans and I like that about social network services. I want to keep communicating with my fans online.”

You and I is a music show designed to comfort people who need a break from their everyday life. The show will start airing on February 26. Since national diva, Lee Hyori, and music fairy, Jung Jae Hyung, will appear on the show, many people are paying attention to the show.

[NEWS] Lee Hyori donates $107,000 from Eco Project 2012 calendar

Back in December, Lee Hyori released a 2012 calendar with her dog Soonshim to promote animal adoption. The calendars sold for around $10 a piece and it was reported that all the proceeds would be donated to helping animals and now the first check has finally arrived.

On February 18th, Lee Hyori tweeted, “On the behalf of everyone, I donated the first payment from the sales of Soonshim’s calendar. To everyone who participated in making this calendar happen and everyone who supported this and donated, you have my sincere thanks. Oh yeah, Soonshim you did a good job as well.” Along with this tweet, she added the photo seen above.

The photo was a proof shot of Lee Hyori donating 120 million won (around $107,000) to the Korean Animal Welfare Association. You can also see Soonshim in the background on the mini stage.

[NEWS] Lee Hyori starts a campaign to build an animal shelter

Lee Hyori has kicked off a campaign to construct an animal shelter.

The star will be working with Daum Communications to launch a month-long campaign to build an animal shelter for abandoned and/or abused animals.

The event began on February 13th with Lee Hyori’s petition on the homepage, which read: “There are still many animals out there suffering circumstances worse than death at the hands of people. The animal shelter will provide a safe haven for the abused animals. We want to do everything we can even if all we can do is lay the foundation stone.”

The petition drew more than 500 signatures in a matter of five hours, allowing the proposal to become a full-fledged campaign. The fund-raise will continue until March 12th and every cent raised will be used to construct an animal shelter.

Singer Lee Hyori revealed a baby picture of herself.

On February 15th, Lee Hyori posted the above photo through her Twitter, tweeting, “I visited my parents home for the first time in quite a while and laughed for a long time while looking through old photos. I don’t really remember this picture very well, but I guess I was like this. Note that I’m the youngest.”

In the picture, Lee Hyori is crying in front of her sister while the rest of her siblings are smiling for the camera. On top of this, netizens were drawn to Lee Hyori’s baldness as a child.

[NEWS] Lee Hyori donates 100 million won to help senior citizens

Singer Lee Hyori recently donated a hundred million won.

On February 8, The Beautiful Foundation said, “Lee held an event to donate a hundred million won to help poor senior citizens.”

Lee donated the money under the name ‘Hyori Fund.’ The name is from her real name and Chinese. ‘Hyo’ means to be dutiful to elders and ‘Ri’ means service to elders. ‘Hyori Fund’ will be used to help poor elders.

Lee has been in discussion with the foundation about making a foundation since the end of last year. She donated 50 million won to pay heating bills and to buy commodities for elders. She also delivered briquets to elders with her fans on two separate occasions.

Lee also donated 10 million won to the ‘Snail Fund,’ which was created by singer Lee Jeok.

On February 5, Lee Hyo Ri, Korea’s popular singer exuding sexy appeal, posted a comment on her Twitter page: “Tomorrow I’ll stand on stage for the first time in two years as an emcee for a music show called You And I. I’m now really excited about meeting you again.”

[NEWS] ‘Clio’ transforms Lee Hyori into Andy Warhol’s muse

Singer Lee Hyori has channeled the colorful style of iconic artist Andy Warhol for her latest pictorial with ‘Clio‘.

On February 14th, the cosmetics brand released this still-cut from their 2012 Spring/Summer collection. Bright, vivid colors seem to be the mainstay of the collection — emerald greens, cerulean blues, canary yellows and bubblegum pinks work together on a canvas of peach tones for a brilliant effect. The makeup artists for this shoot were careful to leave Hyori’s cheeks untouched, since she already carried loud nails and eyes.

Interestingly, her lips were painted two different shades: the upper lip had a layer of Barbie pink lipstick, while the bottom exhibited a softer coral in gloss.
