[NEWS] Lee Hyori donates 100 million won to help senior citizens

Singer Lee Hyori recently donated a hundred million won.

On February 8, The Beautiful Foundation said, “Lee held an event to donate a hundred million won to help poor senior citizens.”

Lee donated the money under the name ‘Hyori Fund.’ The name is from her real name and Chinese. ‘Hyo’ means to be dutiful to elders and ‘Ri’ means service to elders. ‘Hyori Fund’ will be used to help poor elders.

Lee has been in discussion with the foundation about making a foundation since the end of last year. She donated 50 million won to pay heating bills and to buy commodities for elders. She also delivered briquets to elders with her fans on two separate occasions.

Lee also donated 10 million won to the ‘Snail Fund,’ which was created by singer Lee Jeok.
