[NEWS] Lee Hyori donates one ton of animal food to a shelter every month

There doesn’t seem to be any end or limit to Lee Hyori‘s good deeds, as her generosity and care towards abandoned animals were discovered once more on KBS’s ‘Birth of a Family‘.

On the December 24th episode, the show’s MCs Lee Hwi Jae, Kim Byung Man, and No Woo Jin visited an abandoned animal shelter to volunteer and help out for the show’s Christmas special. After meeting up and talking with the generous hearts that run the place, the topic steered towards the difficulties of running a shelter of this size.

As the shelter houses 350 dogs and 60 cats, the owner chose food supply as the most difficult aspect to keep up with, stating, “I need about two tons of animal food to feed all of them per month, but since last month, Lee Hyori-ssi has been donating one ton a month.”

He continued, “She also doing a great job of raising ‘Soonshim’, the abandoned dog she adopted from this shelter.”

[NEWS] Hyori donates $50,000 USD to heat the homes of the elderly

Netizens recently discovered that Lee Hyori had donated $50,000 USD to help heat the homes of elderly persons living alone.

When she was praised for her good deed, Hyori humbly tweeted, “I did not do anything deserving of praise.
