[NEWS] Lee Hyori cried when Fin.K.L lost to S.E.S for a K-Chart win

Singer Lee Hyori shared a story about how she cried after Fin.K.L lost to S.E.S in the ’90s.

Hyori along with former S.E.S member Eugene, Tak Jae Hoon, and Shin Dong Yup guest-featured on the 10th anniversary special of KBS2‘s ‘Happy Together 3‘ that aired March 8th.

It was here that former Fin.K.L member Hyori remarked, “S.E.S debuted before [Fin.K.L], so we didn’t overlap too much.”

“There was one time though when we were both up for a K-Chart win on stage,” she continued.

“At the time, Fin.K.L wasn’t too popular, and we had to continuously try to keep up with S.E.S’s growing popularity. We members were thinking about how we had to always do our best, when Yuri suddenly injured her leg while filming outdoors,” she said.

“This stage [with S.E.S] was extremely important to us, but Yuri had to sing sitting in a chair,” she explained. “In the end, S.E.S seized the K-Chart win.”

“After we came down from the stage, we all cried,” Hyori added. “We were already upset that Yuri was hurt, but losing the #1 win only made it worse.”

Singer Lee Hyori recently said she had ever felt small by comedian Park Myung Soo’s spiteful remarks.

On the special episode of KBS’s Happy Together, celebrating its 10th anniversary, she revealed the reason why she couldn’t be close with Park,

Park first revealed the time when he had felt frustrated by Lee. Park said that he’d wanted to make an acquaintance with Lee, but he couldn’t get close to her first.

Park said, “I often saw her shaking hands with other entertainers. She looked close with everyone, so I wished she would be nice to me. But she didn’t.”

In response, Lee explained, “All the other people said to me, ‘This album of yours is really good. I’m sure it’ll make a big hit.’ However, Park said to me, “This album is not good enough. It’ll be a total failure.”

Lee also fessed up that she’d felt small by Park’s biting remarks. In return, Park justified himself by saying that "he ‘d just wanted get close with her and made a joke.”

Park also revealed that he’d ever felt frustrated by Shin Dong Yup and made him embarrassed.

Singer Lee Hyori cleared up the rumors that once surrounded her and World Star Rain.

On the March 8th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Happy Together 3‘, MC Yoo Jae Suk asked Hyori about the most absurd rumors that spread about her.

“All of them were mostly true,” she admitted honestly. “Besides a few of them including a scandal with (Shin) Dong Yeob oppa, none of them were too shocking.”

“But the one about Rain was really ridiculous,” she added. “There was a rumor that said Rain didn’t know he was on a radio program hosted by singer Kim Tae Woo and admitted to spending the night with me.”

“Everyone knows that radio stations never unexpectedly connect a call,” she continued. “I was so taken aback by this.”

The radio scandal traces back to 2005, when Kim Tae Woo was hosting Kiss the Radio. As a joke, Kim Tae Woo called Rain without notifying him that he was live on the air. As they were conversing casually, the rumor stated that Rain excitedly blurted out, “Hyung! Hyori and I had se–”

At that moment, the radio was suddenly cut off and music was played.

Singer Lee Hyori honestly explained why she left her MC position on ‘Happy Together‘ while it was at the peak of its popularity.

KBS2′s ‘Happy Together Season 3‘ aired its ‘10th Anniversary Special‘ on March 1st and featured their past MC’s Shin Dong Yup, Lee Hyori, Tak Jae Hoon, and Eugene and they showed their great humor with their stories.

On this day Lee Hyori spoke on why she left the show with Shin Dong Yup saying, “After being an MC for so long there were not many stories left that I could share. That is why I decided to step down,” and those around her looked at her as though they felt the same thing. She quickly added, “I also thought it would be better to leave when the show was at its best,” and brought great laughter to the studio.

Shin Dong Yup added, “At that time Lee Hyori said that she would leave FinKL to become a hip hop legend and go to America and that was why she was leaving ‘Happy Together‘,” which brought continual laughter to those gathered.

Also, on the episode, Lee Hyori asked her close friend Yoo Jae Suk if he had quit smoking which prompted Eugene to ask Hyori if she had quit. To this she calmly replied, “I now smoke electronic cigarettes,” which surprised Eugene and showed Hyori’s cool charm.

Lee Hyori is holding a photo exhibition to help abandoned dogs.

Lee is holding a photo exhibition, titled “Don’t Buy Them. Adopt Them,” at Lotte Gallery from March 2 to 11.

At the exhibition, several pictures of Lee and her pet Soon Shim as models will be exhibited. They are taken by Photographer Hong Jang Hyun, and admission is free.

Lotte Gallery says, “Nearly 100,000 dogs get abandoned each year. All living things should be protected and respected.”

On the 10th Anniversary special of KBS2 ‘Happy Together‘ that aired on March 1st, singer Lee Hyori revealed her body is much more sensitive after becoming a vegetarian.

Hyori then asked MC Yoo Jae Suk if he had quit smoking, and actress Eugene who was also a guest on the episode looked towards Hyori and asked, “What about you, unni?”

During the recording for the 10 year anniversary of ‘Happy Together 3′, Hyori was questioned whether she’s been doing well with her boyfriend, but to everyone’s surprise, she revealed, “We broke up.”

As the MCs and the other guest seemed genuinely shocked at the news, Hyori then added, “We’re still seeing each other.” However, as the MCs continued to question about her relationship with the singer-songwriter, she would jokingly reply that the two had broken up – leading to even more confusion.

Shin Dong Yup commented, “It seems like Hyori is able to joke about breaking up because she knows that her boyfriend can comfortably accept [her humor].”

Lee Hyori has recently finished shooting the 10th anniversary special episode of KBS 2TV’s Happy Together 3.

On February 25 around 10:30 p.m., Lee tweeted, “I just finished shooting the epiosde, which started 10 in the morning. I was tired but had a good time with my beloved people. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary, Happy Together!”

Lee shortly appeared by her voice in the episode of Happy Together 3 that aired on January 29 when guest Uhm Jung Hwa called her.

In the episode, host Yoo Jae Suk asked her to make a guest appearance on his show, saying, “I want to see you on my show. Anyway you have nothing better to do, so please come.” At this, Lee at first said, “I’m busy. I have to take care of dogs,” but soon said yes to his offer, saying, “I’ve got lots to say that I’ve saved for two years.”

Singer Lee Hyori revealed the after-effects of recording as an MC for SBS TV‘s ‘You & I‘.

On February 25th, Lee Hyori posted a picture through her Twitter, tweeting, “Recorded for a long time at a very dusty set location. My body was unable to adapt and is now starting to react angrily. After starting a vegetarian diet, my body has become quite sensitive. What should I do from now on?”

She then added, “I don’t need to go to the hospital or take medication when I am at a place with fresh air, am well rested, and eat good food. The problem is that when I am working, I have no choice but to be exposed to that type of environment. My body recognizes bad as bad and sends warning signs, which is proof that my body has become healthier than before.”

Lee Hyori revealed a picture of her arm, covered in rashes caused by the dusty environment of the recording studio.
