On December 12, the Korea Green Foundation held the ’2011 Awards Ceremony for People Who Enlighten the World’ in Seoul.
At the ceremony, besides Lee and Ulala Session, KBS’s Qualification of Men: Youth Choir, Gag Concert, singer Kim Tae Won, and actress Park Jin Hee received the prize.
Lee adopted an abandoned dog and she has been very active in protecting abandoned animals. Ulala Session impressed people by working hard even in a bad situation and gave people hope.
Many movies, which impacted the society, also received the prize.
Director Hwang Dong Hyuk, who made the movie Dogani, and Song Yoon Hee, who made the movie White Jungle, also received the prize. Pororo, an animated children’s character, received a special prize.
The 7th awards ceremony chose the 33 prize winning celebrities from people’s online recommendations and specialized jury members who evaluated the nominees.
