[NEWS] Lee Hyori enraged by rumors of her death

Singer Lee Hyori‘s death rumors are heating up the online community.

Around noon of November 14th, ‘Lee Hyori’s death’ rumors started to spread through SNS and Twitter.

The rumors of Lee Hyori’s death started out of the blue as if an actual news had been reported stating, ‘(Breaking news) Top star Lee Hyori found dead at home’ and had many netizens shocked.

Lee Hyori’s management company B2M representative revealed in a phone conversation with TV Daily, “It’s not true. Just now texted each other and spoke on the phone with her”.

The representative also added, “Don’t know where this started. We’re trying to get a grasp on the situation”.

Lee Hyori seemed enraged by the rumors of her death tweeting, ‘It’s not funny. Why make a joke that is not funny nor has any meaning? Garbage’.

Netizens also were enraged by the rumors of Lee Hyori’s death that it has crossed the line of a joke.

It’s also notable that they made a word play in Korean with the ‘report’ to indicate she was found ‘alive’ rather than dead in some of the instances. (That is, ‘found dead’ when literally translated can mean ‘found not breathing’ but instead some of the ‘reports’ say ‘found breathing’)

Many Twitterians found the act to be irresponsible and that they should reflect on their errors and not let such things repeat.
